Summer Academic Learning Community
The Summer Academic Learning Community (SALC) curriculum promotes scholarship and provides students with the necessary cognitive and developmental skills to succeed in a highly competitive academic environment.
Math courses are offered during the 5 week summer program. In addition, seminars, workshops and retreats are designed to develop academic and personal strengths and provide orientation to the university environment. The Freshman Experience Seminars and Academic Survival Workshops are offered throughout the summer and academic year. A retreat, designed to bring introspection and cohesiveness to the group, is held during the SALC experience at an outside location.
