Rental rates and all other charges have been developed with the intent of providing fair and reasonable expenses for events in the Forum. All rates and charges are subject to change at the sole discretion of the UIC Forum.
Security‚ ushers‚ access control‚ peer security‚ production/setup/cleanup‚ operating engineer‚ electrician‚ audio‚ telephone rental‚ telephone credit card charges‚ wireless services‚ lighting/sound‚ forklift overnight security‚ drapery‚ damages. An itemized estimate will be provided upon request based on a description of the event and setup. *Expenses reimbursable to the Forum‚ finalized at closing.
Where applicable‚ stagehands and teamsters shall be used for load-in‚ rehearsal‚ day of show and load out. Other union (i.e. projectionist) shall also be used where appropriate. This call will be made by the promoter per prior arrangement with the unions.
The University requires that all payments for minimum rental fees and expenses be submitted to the Forum before the event. Deposits by cashier’s or certified check‚ wire transfer‚ or an irrevocable letter of credit will be required in an amount determined necessary to cover all anticipated rent and expenses related to the event.
Booking Procedures
Information regarding the availability of Forum event dates can be obtained by calling Dawn Collins at 312- 413-9875.
Upon request‚ the Forum will tentatively reserve your requested dates. However‚ if another prospective tenant should request the same dates‚ or a portion thereof‚ you will be required to execute a tenant agreement and submit the required deposit within 48 hours of notification. If the signed contract and deposit is not received‚ the dates will be released without further notification.
Deposits for dates are not refundable.
The Forum reserves the right to require a deposit to cover all estimated expenses‚ including‚ but not limited to‚ rent‚ setup‚ staging‚ damages‚ advertising‚ and utilities.
The use of the Form may be denied to any individual‚ group‚ organization‚ or event that does not represent the best interests of the Forum. Such decisions will be made at the sole discretion of the Forum.
Settlement Policy and Contracts
The Forum will pay the net proceeds due from ticket receipts‚ less rent and other charges‚ in a timely manner after the conclusion of an event‚ upon completion of settlement.
All rental rates and charges due to the Forum are payable upon
demand.
Any balance over 30 days will be charged a monthly finance charge until paid.
Contracts
The Forum uses a standard form of contract. One will be forwarded to
you upon confirmation of your date(s).
The University provides exclusive food vending to the public for all events.
Overnight security‚ where appropriate‚ is available by arrangement with the Forum. Assignments will be made by the coordinator of Forum security.
No announcements of any kind about the event shall be made until the contract is signed and returned with the appropriate deposit to the Forum
