Stephanie Riger is currently pursuing policy-related research that looks at the impact of changes in welfare policy on victims of domestic violence. Her latest book, Transforming Psychology: Gender in Theory and Practice, was published in 2000 by Oxford University Press.
The former director of the Gender and Women's Studies Program, she has been named a University Scholar, UIC's highest faculty honor, and was the recipient of the American Psychological Association's Division 27 Award for Distinguished Contributions to Research and Theory.
