Financial Literacy Training

The FAST Financial Literacy Training Workshops are designed to help Head Start parents increase their knowledge of financial literacy strategies and improve their ability to communicate with their children about financial issues. Workshops are conducted at partner Head Start sites and provide parents access to strategies that will help them cope with economic changes. In the workshops, parents learn simple budgeting; smart uses of checking accounts; ways to be an informed consumer; strategies to handle credit problems, etc.. The curriculum, All My Money, includes eight financial literacy lessons and is available in both English and Spanish. Overall, The FAST Financial Literacy Workshops play an important role in providing families with the tools they need to achieve their financial goals.
