Early Childhood Special Education Blended Program

Early Childhood Special Education is a field growing by leaps and bounds.  Research has demonstrated its effectiveness and programs are blossoming.  At the University of Illinois at Chicago, the Department of Special Education offers an opportunity for certified teachers to earn an approval to teach children with disabilities from birth to 5 years of age.

Is the Early Childhood Special Education Approval the right track for you?

IF you hold a standard IL teaching certificate (elementary, secondary, or special education—& not a substitute or emergency certificate), then you may earn the Early Childhood Special Education Approval added to your current certificate.  You need the following courses offered at UIC:
