Bill Teale, Jessica Hoffman, Junko Yokota, Jennifer Garrette, Samantha Richardson, and Katie Paciga presented a talk entitled “What We Read Aloud to Young Children Makes a Difference: Book Features and Their Consequences" at the International Reading Association Convention in May 2009. Their ideas about reading aloud as an instructional activity drew heavily on insights from UIC-ERF classrooms. Click Here to view slides for their presentation.
