High School
(Senior)/College Transition Program (1988 - Present) The Early Outreach High School/College Transition Program helps to facilitate the transition of Early Outreach twelfth graders from high school to college. The program presents a series of workshops that focus on the following areas: college selection, application and admission processes; financial aid, scholarship resources, written and oral communications skills; study skills, time, money, and stress management; alcohol and drug use and abuse; decision making, problem solving, cultural sensitivity, male/female communication, relationships and perceptions, evolving relationships with parents, college expectations, student involvement at a college campus, student rights, and college survival skills. Parents are invited to participate in these workshops. |
