Illinois IT Accessibility Act (IITAA) Non-Technical Overview
The Illinois Information Technology Accessibility Act (IITAA) will be in effect on August 20, 2008 and UIC is required to comply. The IITAA requires Illinois agencies and universities to ensure that their websites, systems, and other information technologies are accessible to people with disabilities. Do you know how the Act impacts you and your department?
To find out, please come to an hour informational overview of the IITAA on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm in BGRC, Room 105B. This is a non-technical overview of the IITAA for those who are interested in knowing more about the legislative impact on the campus.
The session is sponsored by ACCC, UIC's Web Accessibility Committee, and the Disability Resource Center. Please RSVP to pricek@uic.edu
