Officers and Directors

The University of Illinois Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation responsible for encouraging and administering private gifts to further the university's mission of teaching, research, and public service at its campuses in Chicago, Springfield, and Urbana-Champaign. While the foundation is a separate legal entity from the University of Illinois, its sole purpose is to serve the university. Since it was established in 1935, the foundation has played a key role in the university's private gifts program. It has spearheaded two major fund-raising endeavors—Campaign for Illinois, which raised $134 million between 1979 and 1985, and Campaign Illinois, which raised $1.53 billion between 1991 and 2000. Both campaigns far exceeded their goals.
