We encourage you to write and share the good news in your life! Alumni updates are printed in our annual newsletter (as space allows) and can be submitted via email to hcalumni@uic.edu
The Honors College sponsors two alumni publications: Honorable Mentions, a yearly printed newsletter, and an e-newsletter which is mailed approximately 4 times per year.
Class of 2000 Honors College and CBA graduate Kevin Desouza, along with his wife Sally, have generously established an endowment that will fund the Sally and Kevin Desouza Family Scholarship for business students in the Honors College. Read their story here.
Honors College Alumni Association
The Honors College Alumni Association (HCAA) is hosting its annual June social, and we really want to see new faces! Enjoy complimentary food and drinks, and network with fellow alumni. Join us at Salantino's Restaurant, 626 South Racine (at Harrison) in Chicago from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13. RSVP for this free event by visiting hcaajune2012social.eventbrite.com.
HCAA is holding elections for the position of President. Current President Eric Leafblad has agreed to run for re-election, and all UIC James Scholars and Honors College alumni are eligible to vote. The online ballot is at www.surveymonkey.com/s/3HZG23D and will be open until June 12. Please take the time to vote!
The Honors College now has an alumni group dedicated to keeping you connected with the college.
The Honors College Alumni Association meets approximately 4 times per year, and provides oversight on alumni issues, programming and support to current students. In addition, members help to coordinate alumni involvement in college events such as the annual ball and admissions interviews.
