Requirements for Departmental/College/Major honors:
Department Honors are awarded when a student graduates and
are noted on the UIC official transcript. Department honors are awarded if the
student meets the grade point average criteria listed below:
Distinction: Overall GPA of 3.25 and major GPA
of 3.25
High
Distinction:
Overall GPA of 3.50 and major GPA of 3.50
Highest
Distinction:
Overall GPA of 3.75 and major GPA of 3.75
Other departmental requirements or tips:
Plan ahead! Many issues in finance can best be
investigated only after taking certain courses that may have
prerequisites. To ensure that you have
the proper courses to support your capstone project, it would be best to plan
your class schedule several semesters ahead.
