Requirements for
Departmental/College/Major honors:
Departmental Distinction: Distinction in physics is awarded to
students who achieve a minimum major GPA of 3.50/4.00.
Students who qualify for departmental
distinction can also be recommended for high or highest distinction as detailed
below:
High Distinction: A minimum major GPA of
3.70/4.00. Alternatively,
a minimum major GPA of 3.50/4.00 and having a passing grade in PHYS 391 or 392.
Highest Distinction: A minimum major GPA of 3.80/4.00.
Alternatively, a minimum major GPA of 3.70/4.00 and
having a passing grade in PHYS 391 or 392.
