The Concept

The Home Health Monitor, as the name suggests, is based on the principle of monitoring the patient in their home. A biomedical technician delivers the HHM and instructs them on its usage. The patient takes tests at a predetermined frequency, per their physician's or health professional's orders.

Oximetry (9712 bytes) Blood pressure (9296 bytes) Weight (10249 bytes) Blood glucose (8429 bytes)

The results of these tests are transmitted via modem to a computer server.

Modem connection (10545 bytes)  Transmit results? (9750 bytes)

If the results of the tests fall outside of physicians'/health professionals' preset limits for that patient, an alarm is transmitted, and they are notified via alphanumeric page.  The alphanumeric page consists of the patient name, phone number, date, time, and test results.  The patient can then be contacted to make further assessments.  The results of all tests can be accessed  via internet browser, alphanumeric paging, phone calls, fax, or e-mail.
