Credentialling Applications - HMO Illinois HMO Illinois will not reimburse for services provided by non-credentialed physicians. Physicians who wish to see patients through HMO Illinois must be credentialed by the plan. On August 6, 2001 physicians not yet credentialed with HOMI were sent applications and instructions on how to complete them. Many of these applications are still outstanding. If you have not yet completed your application, please do so and return it to Karon Batie, Credentialing Coordinator. Delays in processing an application not only impact reimbursement for provided services, but can also create administrative problems for both the patient and the provider's billing service. Moreover, department and billing administrators should notify Karon immediately when new physicians join their department so that the appropriate administrative steps can be taken to credential those physicians who intend to participate in managed care contracts.
