Meet UIC docs, get a flu shot and learn more about your health Tuesday at the Medical Centers free Health and Education Fair for UIC employees and the community.
The health fair will be held 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the UIC Forum. Besides the regular campus shuttle, buses will run from the Outpatient Care Center and Student Center East to the UIC Forum throughout the day, beginning at 9:45 a.m. Free parking for drivers with UIC hangtag will be available in Lot 6, 1135 S. Halsted St.
Physicians will give brief lectures throughout the day on more than 20 topics, including breastfeeding, diabetes, contraception, immunization, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and robotic kidney transplantation.
Talk to primary care physicians and specialists at Meet the Doc, 11 a.m. to noon and 1 to 2 p.m., when providers from pulmonary, urology, nutrition and wellness, family medicine, pain, sickle cell, obstetrics and pediatrics will be available for one-on-one conversations.
Free screenings, including body mass index (BMI), blood pressure and glucose, will be offered. Flu shots will be available for $20 from staff of the soon-to-open Immediate Care Clinic at Maxwell Street.
More than 20 medical specialties will have representatives on hand to answer questions and hand out information, including:

sleep & allergy
College of Nursing - integrated health care
pediatric hematology/sickle cell
