Nominations for the 2009 Award of Merit are now being accepted, forms are available at http://www.uic.edu/depts/hr/Special_Programs/employee_recognition.shtml. The UIC Award of Merit, a university-wide honor, is available to all UIC campus staff members who exhibit service, commitment and dedication. Award recipients will receive $2,500 and a memento gift. All UIC support and academic professional staff who work at least 50% time, and who have worked at UIC for at least three years, are eligible. Anyone can nominate eligible employees. Nomination forms must be submitted to the dean or director of the unit, then to the unit's Vice Chancellor or the Chancellor by July 20, 2009.
