Dr. Stephanie Gorka at The University of Illinois at Chicago is conducting a research study involving young adults ages 17-19. In this study, we are looking at how brain function and psychophysiology relate to behavior over the next 1-2 years.
Participants will complete two laboratory sessions and then be asked to fill out occasional questionnaires about their behaviors.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
1. Are 17-19 years old.
If you are eligible and agree to participate you will undergo:
1. A psychiatric interview.
2. One laboratory session to non-invasively measure psychophysiological responding.
3. One functional MRI scan to non-invasively measure brain function.
4. A packet of questionnaires every 3 months for the next 1-2 years.
Please note: Interested volunteers should have no metal parts in their body.
Females should not be pregnant or trying to become pregnant.
