Join Mexican Students de Aztlán (MeSA), Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), and Union for Puerto Rican Students (UPRS) for the first Noche de Poetas (Poetry Night) of the Spring semester.
Don't miss out on the amazing talented poets as they share their own poetic words on this month's theme “Consent and Community.”
How do you express consensual love?
How can you practice love as a value towards your community?
Leading the night will be our featured poet Keren Díaz de León.
Keren Díaz de León (she/her, they/them) is a queer femme mexican american born & raised southside Chicago. She is a teaching artist and a self taught poet, performer, zine maker, and visual artist. Her work deals with what she knows: queerness, sexuality, trauma & gender based violence, first gen/immigrant family dynamics, & existing as a mujer. Often all of these themes at once. You can follow her on social media as @top0chica and check out some of her written works at kerendiazdeleon.wordpress.com!
