The Integrative Physiology Laboratory (IPL) at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is looking for participants for a heart rate, blood pressure, and vascular function research study. We are looking for healthy individuals who are either sedentary (less than 30 minutes of physical activity per day) or aerobically trained (aerobic activity ≥30 minutes on ≥ 4 days/week), between 18 to 35 years old. We are interested in investigating the cardiovascular response to acute inflammation, by means of measuring fitness, heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, and vascular function. The study involves two visits to the IPL and participants will receive monetary compensation upon finishing the study.
