Dr. Tamara Hamlish (PhD) at The University of Illinois at Chicago is conducting a research study looking at the experiences of cancer survivors and cancer caregivers after treatment is completed in order to identify unmet needs unmet needs and develop improved resources and support services.
You may be eligible if you:
• Are a UIC employee
• Are ≥ 18 years old
• Have a clinical diagnosis of cancer and completed primary treatment for cancer at least six months ago
• Are a primary caregiver for an individual who has a clinical diagnosis of cancer and completed primary treatment for cancer at least six months ago
• Have access to a camera phone or digital camera
If you are eligible and agree to participate you will complete a photo journal and participate in a group workshop with 10-20 other participants. The workshop will be videorecorded.
This study involves a time commitment of approximately 30-40 minutes per day for one week at home for the photo journal and a 3-hour visit at UIC for the group workshop. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. All information you provide is confidential.
