Voices of the Community Series: "Roseland Civic Engagement Study: Corridor for Collective Action"

November 8, 2018

10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

“The greater Roseland area is a diverse community of activists, parents, entrepreneurs, and civic-minded individuals working toward the common goal of community betterment. However, it is also an area plagued by violence, unemployment, and community blight due to many internal and external factors.”
Robert Douglas will present findings from his report which examines the key community organizations and leaders in Roseland and provides a first-hand account of the community assets and opportunities available. It also identifies recommendations for further assessment and improvement of the community.
IPCE is committed to transforming democracy by creating a more fully engaged community with more effective leaders. For disability accommodation or more information, email ipce@uic.edu or call (312) 355-0088.
