RE Vice Provost for Diversity and Senior Advisor to the Chancellor

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the formation of a search committee, whose full membership is listed below, to fill the post of Vice Provost for Diversity and Senior Advisor to the Chancellor. The committee is currently in the process of engaging Greenwood/Asher and Associates to assist with the search and working with the Office for Access and Equity for search approval. Your help, submitting nominations, providing advice, encouraging nominees to apply and interviewing candidates, will be crucial to the success of the search. This search follows our decision last August to permanently fund an Office of Diversity and anticipates publication of the campus Diversity Strategic Plan A Mosaic for UIC Transformation this fall. You are invited to join Provost Lon Kaufman, Interim Vice Provost Barbara Ransby, and Special Assistant to the Provost William Walden at three town hall meetings to discuss the draft Diversity Strategic Plan.
