Mari Gallagher is the recipient of the 2009 UIC Alumni Association's City Partner Award for "outstanding contributions to the vitality of the Chicago Metropolitan Area" and remains active in the UIC community. Learn about her cutting-edge work around the country and in Chicago, including her most recent fall 2011 findings of whether Food Stamp retailers are helping or hindering public health and economic development in our most troubled neighborhoods. The presentation is part of Re-thinking Soup, a free event in historic Jane Adams Hull House that provides a delicious meal. Arrive early as space is limited.
