Vice Chancellor for Research Search
UIC is conducting a search for the Vice Chancellor for Research. This position reports to the vice president of the University of Illinois and chancellor of the University of Illinois at Chicago and works closely with the vice president for research of the University of Illinois on issues related to technology commercialization, economic development programs and cross-campus collaborative research initiatives.

The Vice Chancellor for Research provides leadership and promotes excellence and continued growth in research areas such as biomedical and health science discovery, community disparities, urban resilience, global environment and informatics and other organically driven research themes. This person encourages and support investigators, facilitates multidisciplinary projects, seeks out new sources of funding, and guarantees the ethical, informed and safe conduct of research. The Vice Chancellor for Research is the authorized institutional official responsible for assuring academic integrity in research and compliance with federal, state and local regulations pertaining to research.
