Graduation Rate Disclosure Statement
Explanation of our responsibilities under the Clery Act
As an institution that participates in the student financial assistance programs authorized by Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965, as amended, we must disclose our graduation rate to current students and employees and, upon request, prospective students.
The number we are required to report is the rate at which our full-time, degree-seeking undergraduate students who have enrolled at UIC for the first time and have not previously enrolled at any other institution of higher education graduate from their programs within 150 percent of the normal time for graduation. (UIC's graduation rate is similar to other public, urban, predominantly commuter institutions.)
UIC's Six-Year Graduation Rate:
At the end of six years, the graduation rate for first-time freshmen who entered the University of Illinois at Chicago in the Fall 2001 on a full-time basis was 50% percent (as reported in the IPEDS Graduation Rate Survey). Another 4.3 percent of these students were still enrolled at UIC.
