UIC is near the center of Chicago, and public transportation here is excellent! It is easy to reach the campus from the airports and from all points throughout the city and suburbs. For example, the subway Blue Line stops at University of Illinois/Halsted station. Buses run on Halsted, Harrison, and Roosevelt streets, the main thoroughfares that encircle UIC.It is also easy to reach the campus by car because UIC is immediately west of downtown Chicago. UIC is located at the intersection of two expressways.
