Practice Experience
Dr. Linsk worked in the fields of aging, long-term care and health social work from 1976 -1996, including work as Senior Coordinator, Research Director and Interim Department Head in the Department of Health Social Work, University of Illinois at Chicago. Previous positions included Director of Research, Illinois Citizens for Better Care, Project Director, Elderly Support Project, University of Chicago; Director of Social Work, Drexel Home for the Aged, Chicago, and clinical social worker for United Charities of Chicago. Dr. Linsk has conducted research and training related to HIV in the later years. As a Principal Partner of the Midwest AIDS Training and Education Partners, he has jointly coordinated a national medication adherence initiative as well two satellite symposia at the XII and XIII World AIDS Conferences on treatment adherence issues relating to HIV and an international interactive case conference on applying anti-retroviral therapy in diverse international contexts. Linsk also conducted the Romanian American AIDS HIV Prevention Project from 1990 -1995. In addition, Dr. Linsk has conducted research and consultation in Namibia, Romania, Malawi , Tanzania and Ethiopia.
