| Description: | The purpose of this sub grant is based on PEPFAR's premise to promote sustainability for the country partner to grow its capacity to lead, manage, and ultimately finance its health system with indigenous resources rather than external resources, to the greatest extent possible. Great Lakes ATTC provides training, technical assistance and other technology transfer services to partners in Tanzania, Africa (Zanzibar and the Mainland) to build capacity of the government and civil society organizations focused on substance abuse. Technology Transfer and consultation are designed to enhance the capacity of communities, faith and recovery organizations, policy makers and treatment providers to coordinate (establish, guide, support) the development and implementation a Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) by improving Substance Abuse prevention and rehabilitation (peer-based recovery support services) and to reduce HIV/AIDS prevalence in Tanzania, Africa. |
