Vietnam Agent Orange Relief & Responsibility Campaign (VAORRC), 4TH VIETNAM AGENT ORANGE JUSTICE TOUR is coming to Chicago!

Three million Vietnamese and tens of thousand of U.S. soldiers and many Vietnamese Americans were affected by Agent Orange used by the U.S. during the war, Today, the effects of Agent Orange continues to cause birth defects in hundreds of thousands of children while poisoning the natural environment of Vietnam.

The goals of the Vietnam Agent Orange Relief & Responsibility Campaign are:To educate friends and neighbors about the suffering caused by Agent Orange in Vietnam and in other wars. To build friendship between U.S., Vietnamese American and Vietnamese Agent Orange victims. To hold the U.S. chemical manufacturers responsible through supporting the Agent Orange victims’ lawsuit and a corporate campaign to demand Dow and Monsanto corporations compensate the victims. To Hold the U.S. government responsible to provide significant and meaningful compensation to Vietnamese victims and additional coverage to affected U.S. veterans. To support the work of the Vietnam Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin (VAVA).

Members of a delegation from Vietnam, including those afflicted by Agent Orange exposure, will visit UIC to speak with audience members about their ongoing struggle to seek justice.

The Jane Addams Hull-House Museum
is part of UIC College of Architecture and the Arts and serves as a dynamic memorial to social reformer and Nobel Peace Prize recipient Jane Addams (1860-1935) and other resident social reformers whose work influenced the lives of their immigrant neighbors as well as national and international public policy.  The Museum's exhibits and public programs preserves and develops the original Hull-House site for the continuation of the historic settlement house vision, linking research, education, and social engagement.
