Do you have an immigrant story to tell?

What defines your identity, ethnicity, culture?

Where do you feel “at home?”

Come to a writing workshop with hip-hop poet, activist, and educator Kevin Coval at the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Young writers will reflect on and grapple with the immigrant experience. Develop writing skills, meet youth from immigrant communities across the city, and create poems, essays, and prose pieces to be published in Chicago: An Immigrant City—a comprehensive immigrants’ resource guide and anthology of reflections on the immigrant experience—being created by the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum with an introduction by Elvira Arellano.

Space is limited!  Registration deadline is 5pm on Thursday, February 14.
