The Peace Movement in 2012: Hope and Prospects

Date
Tuesday, Sep 27, 2011

Time
6 PM - 7:30 PM

About
Cindy Sheehan has much to tell us about working to end the world of wars for corporate profit, and standing up together to build peace and understanding. After the death of Cindy Sheehan's son, Casey, in the Iraq War, she attracted world-wide attention for her extended anti-war protest at "Camp Casey" outside President Bush's Texas ranch. Ever since, she has been an outspoken peace advocate around the world, seeking ways to transform foreign policy through her radio show "Cindy's Soapbox" and discussions with world leaders such as Hugo Chavez of Venezuela and Evo Morales of Bolivia.
