Celebrate the holiday season and the newly legislated Illinois Jane Addams Day with us on December 10th, 2006 on the 75th anniversary of Jane Addams receiving the Nobel Peace Prize.

Jane Addams Hull-House Museum
800 S. Halsted Street 

History, holiday treats and storytelling will be served. Wonderful, costumed actors from the Chicago Children's Theatre will be throughout the museum telling immigrant stories.  Families can participate in a scavenger hunt through the Hull-House Museum's exhibits in a quest to discover the immigrant history of the Near West Side.  After the scavenger hunt, children will be encouraged to enter in the Jane Addams Day Coloring Contest where the winner will receive a Jane Addams Doll and have their picture posted on the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum website at www.hullhousemuseum.org . All Families who participate will be given a FREE FAMILY PASS to see the Chicago Children's Theatre's magical production of Ray Bradbury's Dandelion Wine.  The play will be showing at the Steppenwolf Upstair's Theatre until December 31st, 2006.
