QUALIFICATIONS:
The senior recruiter is an individual that has interviewing skills and experience and/or has spent time in the HCHS/SOL recruitment activities. He/she has proven to be efficient, energetic, and accurate in gathering information and establishing rapport with potential study participants. Additionally, this person has also displayed skills and interest in recruitment administrative tasks, and is willing to work a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities
- Recruit project HCHS/SOL study participants based on eligibility criteria and following the study recruitment protocol.
- For eligible participants who agree to participate, provide study package of information and arrange clinic visit.
- Keep a log of all participants recruited for immediate and long-term follow up and for future educational purposes.
- Engage in at least two follow-up contacts (telephone and/or face-to-face) to address questions and other matters, and remind participants of scheduled clinic appointment.
- Accurately and timely complete all data requested by the project protocol and project management team.
- Timely report to field supervisors the field needs in terms of resources (e.g., materials); events or problems in conducting recruitment activities in the field.
- Enhance the image of Project HCHC/SOL and the Northwestern University College of Medicine-Department of Preventive Medicine and the University Of Illinois (UIC)- Midwest Latino Health Research, Training & Policy Center in the community by maintaining a professional behavior at all times while in the field, exhibiting identification card, using appropriate attire, etc.
- Take the leadership on at least one administrative task such as mailing; requesting new addresses; organizing the HSRs system - adding forms, organizing folders, dropping points, phone numbers, and adding maps; or, updating address information, phone numbers, etc.
- Attend weekly recruitment meeting.
- Work closely with the Field Coordinator/supervisor to obtain daily work assignments, and to address any issues related to participant recruitment and follow up.
Specific Activities
- Read and become familiarized with HCHS/SOL recruitment manual and protocol.
- Participate in on-going orientation/training about position responsibilities, recruitment procedures, and recruitment related administrative tasks.
- Work evening and weekend flexible hours.
- Participate in Recruitment team weekly meetings at the MLHRTPC and during those visits pick up field materials and complete any pending paperwork.
- Complete follow up interventions as assigned by supervisor and/or suggested on the protocol.
- Complete daily/weekly individual report as request by Field Supervisor or Recruitment and Retention Manager/director.
- Maintain daily communication with field supervisors regarding field work progress.
- Respond to daily electronic mails in a timely manner.
- Keep current with project changes and updates.
