Work Safety and Health Disparities
With funding from CDC- National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, LHRC conducted a needs assessment with multiple racial and ethnic minorities as well as immigrant groups. The purpose of the assessment was to ascertain the effect of social discrimination in the workplace on health disparities such as the prevalence of chronic illnesses. LHRC is in phase II of this project, conducting intensive face-to-face English interviews with racial and ethnic minorities and immigrant groups .
