Diabetic Eye Health Education
Diabetic eye disease is the leading cause of blindness in older adults. This is training for community health workers and health educators. Participants should be able to prepare, prevent and integrate brief diabetic eye education interventions into diabetes self-care classes, community awareness events, health fairs and support groups. Participants will receive a bilingual intervention package using popular educational tools and techniques developed and tested with funding from the National Eye Institute.
