Ever wonder how your brain activity relates to your depression? We’re doing a non-treatment, non-medication study at the University of Illinois at Chicago on how brain activity relates to emotion. If you or someone you know has major depression and would like to participate please call or e-mail us. While brief periods of feeling "blue" in reaction to life stress are common, major depression includes several of the symptoms below, nearly every day for more than two weeks. · Difficulty with sleep; Change in appetite · Loss of interest or pleasure in activities · Feeling bad about yourself or feeling you were letting yourself or family down Participants must be between the ages of 18 and 70 and be right handed. We’re doing a non-treatment, non-medication study at the University of Illinois at Chicago on how brain activity relates to emotion. If you or someone you know has panic disorder and would like to participate please call or e-mail us. · A panic attack is a discrete period of intense fearfulness or terror that sometimes comes out of the blue. · Panic disorder is a condition during which an individual experiences multiple unexpected panic attacks followed by at least a month long period of persistent concern about having another panic attack.
