Dave is the president
of Discerning Systems, a software development firm based in Vancouver,
Canada. After receiving his degree in Engineering Science from
Simon Fraser University in 1989, he specialized in computer vision
for robotic systems until shifting to medical image processing
after working with Dr. Robert Gibbons on a project in the early
1990's.
Subsequent collaborations have involved exploration
into the field of user interface design and development, particularly
in making complex statistical programs accessible to those without
specialized training in the field. |
