MARCUS, SUE M. [Ph.D. (Statistics),
University of Pennsylvania, 1992; M.S. (Biostatistics), Harvard,
1979; A.M. (Mathematics), Clark University, 1974], is Assistant
Professor of Psychiatry and Biomathematics and Director in
the Division of Biostatistics at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
Dr. Marcus has been involved in developing statistical methods
for evaluating the efficacy of interventions such as Head
Start and treatment for children with attention deficit hyperactivity (ADHD). She is a Scientific Advisor to the
NIMH multisite trial, Treatment of Resistant Depression
in Adolescents Study. Her
research interest is the design and analysis of mental health interventions,
including causal inference for parallel randomized and nonrandomized clinical
trials, propensity score analysis, omitted variable bias, causal inference
for randomized trials with non-compliance, drop-outs and
other biases. |
