I
am African-Colombian and I grew up in Cali-Colombia where I did most
of my studies. I earned a B.S. at the Universidad del Valle. I currently
lived in Chicago, Illinois where I am pursuing my Ph.D degree at the
department of Bioengineering of the University of Illinois at Chicago
(UIC). I am also the Associate Editor of the UIC Bioengineering Student
Journal. My research interests include MEMS devices for biochemical/mechanical
assays and the study of brain function by using microfluidic biochip
technology. My long-term career interests are in research at either
the industry or academic level, focusing on the development of novel
biochip devices to study, understand, enhance or exploit the properties
of neural systems. |
