Publications
are probably the most important single indicator of a
Center's productivity and are taken into account in assessing
cost-effectiveness. Information on the content, impact
and numbers of journal articles is included in presentations
during hearings before Congress.
It
is very important that the GCRC grant is cited or that
the GCRC contribution is explicitly acknowledged in
all publications arising from studies that used any
GCRC resources at any time.
WHEN
CITING THE GCRC GRANT, USE THE FOLLOWING LANGUAGE OR
SOMETHING SIMILAR:
"This
work was supported by the General Clinical Research
Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago, which
is funded by NIH grant M01-RR-13987."
THE
FOLLOWING IS HELPFUL, BUT OPTIONAL:
"The
authors would like to thank the GCRC staff for help
and support of this study. Its (nursing, laboratory,
dietary, administrative, informatics/biostatistics,
education) services are greatly appreciated."
