Clinical Research Center (CRC)


T
he CRC System Manager is available to consult with investigators and staff on protocols related computing issues. Some of the services provided include:

Database development: assist investigators in developing data collection tools to take advantage of the strengths of selected software products and computer hardware.
Database management: ensure the integrity of the data through system level backups and data validation.
Data mining: assist investigators and staff in the accurate and efficient collection of data in a secure computing environment.
Analytic efforts: the system manager works closely with the biostatistician and investigators to extract datasets for specific analytic and report generation.
Virus and firewall protection for CRC web database.
The system manager in conjunction with the biostatistician will train study personnel in data entry routines and report generators.

All CRC staff and investigators have the option of saving their data on a CD-ROM or Zip disk for permanent storage. Data will be saved in duplicate so both the investigators and CRC retain copies of all materials.

The CRC Informatics Laboratory may be used by investigators and staff for software training,data entry and analysis.
