The following software are provided
at the UIC Academic Computing and Communications
Center (ACCC). You may down load and use it if your
machine is connected to a UIC network or UIC
dialin lines

The Network
Services Kit (NSKit) is a collection of
software that allows you to access email, participate
in newsgroups, login to UNIX machines at UIC
and elsewhere, and to browse the the World Wide
Web |

Norton's
AntiVirus Corporate Edition client uses
several antivirus technologies and scanning
methods to provide comprehensive network file
scanning. Scans look for known viruses by comparing
files with known virus strings. |

Clinical
Research Manager is a software developed
by the GCRC Informatics Manager to allow Investigators
to manage their research data such as subject's
demographic, laboratory records, multiple questionaire
forms. |

WinZip is a zipping and unzipping utility
that includes built-in support for popular Internet
file formats such as TAR, ZIP, UUencode, XXencode,
BinHex, MIME, and Unix-compressed files. ARJ,
LZH, and ARC files are supported via external
programs. An optional wizard simplifies unzipping
and installing software in ZIP files. Please

Besides the above software available
for download, the ACCC also provides Server
Services for staffs. It allows users to share
liscense software, files at costs much lower than
it would cost for a department to setup and maintain.
