Dr. Wang is an assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology, University of Illinois at Chicago. He teaches courses in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, Multisource spatial data analysis, and Computer Cartography. These courses are offered through the Program in Geography of this Department.

His research interests include quantitative methodes in natural resources and ecosystem analysis; landscape remote sensing; land use and land cover change detection and modeling; GIS database design, data analysis; digital image processing and pattern recognition; multisource spatial data analysis; artificial neural network models and evidential theory in multisource spatial data analysis.
