Multicriteria, Multidisciplinary Decision Making Under Risk and Uncertainty

Investigate ways for modeling information with uncertainty and making reliable design decisions that can reduce the risk under multiple design criteria. Current approaches include fuzzy sets, stochastic methods, and multiobjective programming methods. An related activity is to establish the role of decision-based design in mechanical engineering, and engineering in general. The following projects are being conducted:
