Welcome to the Nakamura lab web page!

Thank you for visiting the Nakamura lab web site at University of Illinois at Chicago.

We are interested in studying two overlapping topics by using the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe as a model organism.

1. Roles of ATM/ATR-like kinases in DNA repair and telomere maintenance.
2. Roles of chromatin modifications and chromatin assembly in DNA damage responses.

We have just started our lab in Oct. 2004, and we are looking for people interested in joining us!
