About Us
The UIC SEL Research Group has training and experience in a variety of fields, including psychology, education, sociology and public health. Directed by Dr. Roger P. Weissberg, NoVo Foundation Endowed Chair in Social and Emotional Learning and LAS Distinguished Professor of Psychology & Education, UIC Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Education, the group’s primary focus is school-based social and emotional learning, and its projects address SEL research and assessment, educator preparation, and policy development.
