Abstracts will be published in the special peer-reviewed issue of international journal “Chemico-Biological Interactions.”
Download the Abstract form and instructions (Word file). The information on this form must be included with Abstract Submission!
E-mail your abstracts to trlab@uic.edu. To ensure that the e-mail was received correctly and symbols, etc. were not altered in transmission, you can also fax or mail a copy to the address below. All abstracts will be reviewed and selected for presentation in the order they are received. Space for poster and especially oral presentation is limited. Notification of presentation from platform or poster will be sent by e-mail using the e-mail address shown on your abstract form.

Please use the following abstract format:
TYPE TITLE OF YOUR TALK IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS
AB Student and XL Advisor. Department of Pharmacology, School of Medicine , Anywhere University, Anytown, State, Country
Underline the author presenting the paper. Body of Abstract should be all in one paragraph. Type single-spaced, 12 pt., Times Roman font preferred, left and right justified. Begin paragraph with a 0.5” tab. Set all margins at 1.5”. The length of the abstract should be approximately ½ of an 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper. There should be no headers or footers. (No tables or figures will be accepted on the submitted abstract.)
PRE - AND POST-DOCTORAL STUDENT AWARD INFORMATION
STUDENT AWARDS: The Department of Pharmacology, University of Illinois at Chicago will give 3 awards consisting of money and a certificate as follows:
1st ($500), 2nd ($300) and 3rd ($200) place.
JUDGING: The students will be judged during all Poster Sessions. Competing students are expected to give an overview of their work in 2-3 minutes to the judges followed by a brief set of questions and answers. Originality, significance/hypothesis, presentation material and style, as well as knowledge of the subject, will be considered in judging the papers.
THE JUDGES: Award committee members will be selected after abstracts are received.
EVALUATION CRITERIA:
1. Introduction and Background of Topic
2. Clarity ot Hypothesis to be Tested
3. Experimental Design and Methods
4. Scientific Impact of Results
5. Conclusions Based on Presented Data
6. Clarity of Visual Presentation
7. Clarity of Verbal Communication
8. Overall Organization of Presentation
9. Overall Knowledge of Topic
10. Ability to Answer Questions
TOTAL POINTS = 100 (10 points each)
