Postdoctoral Position in Pharmacology

My laboratory has 1 or more postdoctoral positions available in the following research areas:

  • Neuropharmacology
  • Cell biology
  • Pain neurobiology
  • CNS molecular genetics

A recent Ph.D. in biomedical sciences is required. Experience with immunohistochemistry or immunocytochemistry (indicate publications) is especially preferred.  Our research focus is on opioid pharmacology, signal transduction, and treatment of CNS disorders (e.g., chronic pain, addiction, depression, and insomnia). Current projects include the gene and protein regulation in opioid tolerance, dependence and pain, cellular models for neuropathic and cancer pain, pharmacogenetics of pain treatment, CNS activities from plant materials, and therapeutic development of VR1-selective ligands.
