Alumni and Friends - Supporting the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences

The LAS Office of Advancement is here to help you make a difference. Through your generosity the college is able to fund the research, scholarship and teaching that advances knowledge, contributes to the betterment of society and trains our future leaders.

As the largest college at UIC, LAS serves 9,300 undergraduate and 1,200 graduate students, as well as undergraduates from across the university who take coursework in the humanities, natural and social sciences. Our faculty are dedicated to providing their students with a broad spectrum of viewpoints at the same time that they learn to analyze data effectively, think critically and develop knowledge and skills in their chosen academic field. Researchers, scholars and leaders of the LAS community - faculty, students and alumni - continue to discover, innovate, communicate and win well-deserved awards.

Our LAS alumni are invited to get connected with the college through LASAA - the Liberal Arts and Sciences Alumni Association. Through LASAA, you can contribute with the gift of your time - volunteering at programs and events that help support our students as they navigate the joys and challenges of college life.
