Welcome to the Office of Advancement for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is a center for research on the human mind and culture, and on the natural and social environments. The College offers instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the timeless core knowledge of the humanities, arts and sciences. It also understands that many of the questions that its faculty and students want to ask in their studies often requires an interdisciplinary approach to finding full and articulate answers. For this reason, the College is deeply committed to nurturing interdisciplinary study across the classic disciplines. We have strengths in multicultural studies and languages with academic programs that include community partnerships. We also emphasize international experiences for our diverse student body.

The LAS Office of Advancement is dedicated to the mission of supporting the many instructors and students involved in the College's mission. We not only want to see what happens when we give our students a chance to succeed, we aim to make that opportunity a reality. Through major gifts, annual fund gifts and other giving sources, we help make a significant difference in the quality of education for our students, assisting the men and women who come here to forge brilliant futures for themselves.

The LAS Office of Advancement and the development staff throughout our college and in each of our 21 diverse departments, is grateful for the generosity of alumni and friends that is so essential in helping give our students a chance to reach their potential.
