The LAS Office of Advancement is here to help you make a difference. Through your generosity the college is able to fund the research, scholarship and teaching that advances knowledge, contributes to the betterment of society and trains our future leaders.

Brilliant Futures is the largest and most ambitious campaign in the history of the University of Illinois. System-wide, the Campaign aims to raise $2.25 billion for students, faculty, research and the campus environment. The goal for the UIC campus is $650 million. As a vital part of the Brilliant Futures Campaign, LAS has a fund raising goal of $62 million.

The Fund for LAS

Gifts to this fund allow the Dean to designate monies to areas of current and immediate need including day-to-day operations, support for scholarly research and undergraduate scholarships.

The LAS Scholarship Fund

When you donate to the LAS Scholarship fund you support need- and merit-based scholarships managed at the College level.

Departmental, Academic Unit and Endowed Funds

In addition to the two LAS funds listed above, you can provide support at the departmental or unit level, designating scholarship and/or research philanthropy in your specific area of interest. A list of LAS funds, departments and departmental funds can be found on our giving page.

All individual, corporate and foundation giving to the University of Illinois, its campuses and units, is done in partnership with the University of Illinois Foundation. UIF is a not-for-profit corporation responsible for managing gifts. The Foundation assists in ensuring that your philanthropic wishes are protected.

Members of the Board of Visitors are leaders in business, law, medicine and education who give generously to the college. With gifts of their time and expertise they assist the Dean in defining and implementing standards of excellence in extended college activities. As members of the Presidents Council, the University's leadership giving society, BOV members have demonstrated a financial commitment to the mission of the college.

From the heartfelt support of individual donors to our Annual Fund to the sustaining philanthropy of major private contributions by a devoted and loyal family of alumni and friends and the generous commitment of corporations, foundations and organizations, the LAS Honor Roll recognizes the ways in which all of our donors assist the College in its mission to provide access to superior public education.
